Okay, first things first: you guys are amazing. Yesterday’s post was, without a doubt, one of the scariest I’ve written. It’s somehow so much easier to participate in TMI Thursday, than it is to be, well, serious. But you all…thank you. Just, thank you.
…
In any case, I’ve decided to take it easy today (on all of us), and share something that I’m totally looking forward to:
You see that cast? Jack Black, Michael Cera, Paul Rudd, etc. Stellar. I. Can’t. Wait. This preview came on when we saw I Love You, Man and I could not stop laughing. This could mean that I’m just easily amused. OR, Year One could be the hit of the summer. Only time will tell.
Also, as I was perusing the movie trailers, I came across one for Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. Now, I know they’re turning Where the Wild Things Are into a movie, but is this a trend in children’s books? It’s not enough to just be a bedtime story anymore? I’m not really a purist in this regard, but some things are better left untouched. (It’s possible that I was just disillusioned with The Polar Express – whatever.)
However, if Hollywood’s taking requests, I’m pulling for Strega Nona – one of my favorites as a kid. Wikipedia sums up the plot in about a paragraph. I’m sure we could stretch that to an hour and a half.
Think about. This could be solid gold.
