Next Tuesday we leave for Nepal.
That means we have one week left to appreciate…
…showering every day.
…consistent electricity.
…three meals a day.
…washers & dryers.
…instant internet access.
…constant communication with friends and family.
…knowing what to expect out of any given day.
…and any number of other things not listed here.
But it will undoubtedly be worth it.
And who knows – maybe being away from these things for three months will change how we view some of them.
Maybe we’ll become less reliant on the internet, or cut back on electricity use.
Maybe we’ll become accustomed to two meals a day, and learn to expect the unexpected.
But I’d still like to get back to showering on a daily basis.
A girl’s gotta have limits.

Yay! So excited for you! Hope you are able to blog from there at some point! Take care of yourselves, learn a lot, be safe, and have an awesome time!
Thanks! I hope so too! If not, I’ll definitely update once we’re back!
Shower standards probably shoudln’t waiver much throughout life. Stick with that thought. Otherwise, I would think you’ll just get used to appreciating much more with much *less* expectation, and that can never be a bad thing.
I think you’re probably right. On both the shower standards and the appreciating.
Shower EVERY day? What the…?
I know, I know. So high maintenance.
