Today is a big day at work. I get to hang out with the big kids. And by big kids, I mean several senior researchers from various parts of the world. I’ve actually been invited. (I know – I was surprised, too.)
The thing I’m most excited about? (Aside from getting to participate in a project like this, of course.) I get to dress up. You see, when I started this job, dress was business professional. I got to wear a suit every now and then – which I love. And then, after last summer, we were rewarded with a permanent change of summer dress all year round. Because, for us, summer dress is business casual – heavy on the business. But not heavy enough to wear any of the now five suits sitting in my closet.
Today, though, I get to wear one. I get to dress to impress in my very newest three-piece suit (thanks Mama!), because these researchers are supposed to be kind of a big deal. Now, sure, there’s a little part of me that feels very 1950s gangster in my pinstriped vest, but I choose to embrace it.
In any case, the point is, I’m off for the day. But, to continue the office theme, I can’t help but leave you with this little video (sound isn’t really necessary) to keep you either entertained or awed (or bored, I suppose, but I opt for looking on the bright side):
Be honest, after watching that, don’t you want to try it in your office?
No? Just me?
Please. Like I could set up that many dominoes by myself.
